Meeting with Tunisian Ambassador

Beginning of August, I had temporarily returned to Japan for about two weeks. It was hot weather.

On this occasion, I had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Mohammed Elloumi, Ambassador of Tunisia to Japan, and Mr. Fethi Jelassi, Counselor and Deputy Chief of Mission. Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule, despite the last minute request.

Tunisia will be the host country for TICAD8, which will be held at the end of August. We reported to the Ambassador that MOL Group will participate in this event and we have a seminar and dinner would be co-sponsored with TJCCI from the evening of August 28, the final day, and asked for their cooperation. If TICAD had not been held, I would not have had the opportunity to visit Tunisia. However, we were happy to have the opportunity to visit Tunisia for preparation of TICAD and to learn that Tunisia has many possibilities. It has many advantages such as good access to the European market, an already established shipping network and potential for further development such as the Port of Enfidah. We talked about a lot of things, and the meeting exceeded one hour. I hope that our activities at TICAD8 will lead to the next step and I would like to visit the Ambassador with the good report again.

We would like to invite all those concerned with Africa to attend the above seminar and dinner. Please feel free to contact us.
