Visit Tunisia for TICAD8

Posted on March 18th by Satoshi Katada

"Not long ago, I visited Tunisia for the first time. This is a visit for TICAD 8 preliminary research to be held in Tunis in August this year. TICAD is officially named Tokyo International Conference on African Development. Since 1993, it has been led by the Government of Japan and co-sponsored by the United Nations, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the World Bank and the African Union Commission (AUC). It is a conference attended by many African leaders and business people. The last time was held in Yokohama from August 28th to 30th, 2019. This was a large-scale event with more than 10,000 participants, including 42 African leaders. We also signed two signatures with Turkish Companies with the aim of expanding into Africa, and MOL received attention as a representative of a company expanding into Africa in partnership with Turkish companies. I also participated in the seminar as a panelist and actively worked on it.

We are planning to set up a booth as a MOL group at TICAD 8 this time as well. We will strive to become a representative company that will enter the African market in collaboration with Turkish companies again. TICAD8 is scheduled for August 27-28. We would like to work with you to talk about the potential to expand into Africa. If you have any possibility, please contact us. Of course, we are also looking forward to hearing from African companies.
