Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. offered the media and the public a preview of its exhibit at the Future Society Showcase projects, part of the "Future Life Expo: "Future City" at the 2025 World Exposition ("Expo 2025 Osaka,Kansai, Japan").
In the "Transportation and Mobility" zone of the "Future Society Showcase" pavilion, MOL will exhibit its next-generation zero-emission vessel "Wind Hunter" (Note 2), which produces and transports hydrogen by capturing wind, the ultimate natural energy source, under the exhibition concept of "WIND VISION." Combining the large, movable model with an original video on a large screen, it expresses the "wind," the movement generated by the vessel that underlies everyday life, industry, energy, and social change.
The actual exhibition will show the latest Wind Hunter model with greater realism.
The exhibition is composed of a visitor-participation type experience, various videos, and special effects, in cooperation with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. Through hands-on exhibits unique to the Expo, visitors will experience the possibilities of new mobility that overturn conventional concepts and common sense of "vessel" and "marine transport," and it will draw visitors' interest in the oceans and the global environment as a whole and provide an opportunity to co-create the future.
